Facebook and Instagram works on the exhibition to celebrate the 100th anniversary of regaining independence

Facebook organized a social campaign to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence. As part of # BialoCzerwoneHi100rie, users published content, and the most creative ones hung in the Royal Łazienki.

Facebook has opened an exhibition at the Royal Łazienki in Warsaw, which is the culmination of the social campaign White and Red Hi100rie. It consists of selected, inspired by the anniversary of independence, works that were created by people from all over Poland on Facebook and Instagram.

The white and red Hi100rie is a social campaign organized by Facebook Poland in cooperation with the Office of the "Independent" Program. For over a month, from November to December 2018, she engaged Poles in joint celebration of the 100th anniversary of regaining independence. The campaign's main idea was to encourage Polish residents to create occasional photos, graphics, films or relations with a white and red accent and publish them on Facebook or Instagram.

# BialoCzerwoneHi100rie

All the works were marked with the hashtag # BialoCzerwoneHi100rie, thanks to which an independence portrait of Polish society was created. In this way, unique and authentic graphics, photos and videos created by people from all over Poland, creating the Facebook community. From this collection, the ten most creative and best reflecting the spirit of shared joy were selected, which can now be seen at the unique exhibition at the Royal Łazienki Park in Warsaw.

- White and red Hi100rie is an action in which we wanted to show the festival of the 100th anniversary of regaining independence somehow backstage - says Robert Bednarski, Facebook director for Central and Eastern Europe. - We realized that this beautiful moment consists of thousands of small, personal and joyful stories, showing what this anniversary is for each of us. We want our platforms to bring people together and help in building a community, a small one such as a group of friends, but also a large one, like our entire society. For this reason, we decided to show these unique stories to the world and I am very happy that people using our platform have responded so positively to our invitation - he adds.
